In the mid of 2013, from the press came out : "Manual for the implementation of energy audits of buildings", which aims to improve energy efficiency in Montenegro. In preparing of this publication participated representative of Expeditio, Biljana Gligoric. Press was supported by German Society for International Cooperation - GIZ.
Opening of the first Montenegrin Architecture salon will be on December 21st, 2013. Expeditio and Expeditio Architects will, at the Salon, present two works: The project Kotor City Squares (Category: Research and experiment) and architectural design Center for visitors of NP Prokletije, Gusinje (category Project).
Meeting of the partners on the project "SME Creativity and Innovation for Smart Specialisation in the MED Space" was held in Zagreb, on December 3rd, 2013. The meeting was attended by Expeditio representative.
On Sunday, December 8th, 2013, at 14:05h on RTCG1 will be broadcastes program called "Pazarni dan" (Market Day), recorded in Perast. In this episode, along with number of Perast residents, a guest will be Expeditio representative, Tatjana Rajic. She will talk about the project that Expeditio had implemented in this Boka Bay place. The show is recorded in almost all cities of Montenegro, their distinctive and authentic areas, squares .... It is conceived as the representation of the environment through: distinctive and original gastronomic offer on a particular topic (representing local production, organic food, preparation of meals authentic for that place), the presentation of spiritual culture (legends, anecdotes, folklore, vocal groups ...), the material culture of the city or environment (antiques, art, jewelry, books ...).
On Saturday November 30th, 2013, in the building of the Academy of knowledge in Budva is organized a round table on the topic "The crisis of culture in Montenegro and the region". Participants of the round table were PhD Sinisa Jelusic, professor at the School of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, Tanja Rajic, NGO "Expeditio" Kotor, Bozena Jelusic professor and theorist of literature and Merin Smailagić, director of the PI City Theater. Roundtable was organized by non-governmental organization "Agora" from Budva with the support of the Municipality of Budva.

During the first week of the project "Montenegro on Tweeter - Get involved in changes", host on the popular social network was Biljana Gligoric, architect and one of the founders of the NGO Expeditio. Through Twitter account @ cgtvituje citizens will be able to directly engage and communicate within Montenegro and to be the voice of Montenegro in the region.
Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) and the Programme office of the United Nations Development (UNDP) in Montenegro, from November 15th will, through 24 weeks, through Twitter account @ cgtvituje jointly implement the project "Montenegro on Twitter - get involved in the changes" aimed at strengthening social activism through this social network.
Twitter account @ cgtvituje is already active, and through it, in the next six months, will twit different users.
"Over account @ cgtvituje, in the next six months, twitters and the general public will have the opportunity to meet Montenegro in the way it is seen by affirmed experts from various fields, experts which are more or less known to the public. Every seven days we will have a new participant, who will inform us about his/her views in the area he/she knows, inform us what is good but what are the problems,also, and all partners will try to work together, in cooperation with institutions, and affect on problems resolution ", said Dragan Koprivica CEO of CDT.
The project "Montenegro on Twitter - get involved in the changes" was inspired by Curators of Sweden initiative. In December 2011, Sweden became the first country in the world that had an official account on Twitter surrendered into the hands of citizens. Each week a new person twit from account @ Sweeden and thus share with account followers stories and information related to Sweden. That account currently has 67,000 followers.

EXPEDITIO representative, Biljana Gligorić, participated in the workshop: Experts Pool Mission · that, in the framework of the project · · Ljubljana Process II · Business Planning and Fundraising - Montenegro, was organized by Ministry of Culture. The workshop was held in Cetinje, October 21st and 22nd 2013.
The workshop was led by an expert John Baguley. On the first day of the workshop participants visited the fort Besace in Virpazar and former French Embassy building in Cetinje. This was followed by a meeting at the Ministry of Culture, Cetinje, regarding fundraising and business planning. In addition to Mr. Baguley, the workshop was attended by Milica Nikolic, a member TFCS, Katarina Nikolic, supervisor of the works on Besace site, Dajkovic Alexandar, member of Ljubljana Process II Technical team, Jelena Zaric, Ljubljana Process II National coordinator and Jelena Djurovic, head of the National Library of Montenegro.
Training / advise sessions based on fundraising and business planning was organized on the second day of the workshop.

Network for Social Responsibility (Network SR) is formed under the project "Fostering dialogue and partnership for sustainable development between the Government and the business sector in Montenegro," which the Department for support to the National Council for Sustainable Development (Department for assistance NCSD) in the Ministry of sustainable Development and Tourism of the Government of Montenegro conducted in cooperation with the Agency NL in the Netherlands government.
The goal of forming Network for SR is to promote and raise awareness of the general public, companies and public administration on the concept of corporate social responsibility as one of the mechanisms for sustainable development.

Expeditio representative, Biljana Gligorić, is participating at Regional Consultation on the Post-2015 Development Agenda: “Inclusive and Sustainable Development: Perspectives from Europe and Central Asia on the Post-2015 Development Agenda”, November 7th and 8th 2013 in Istanbul, Turkey, organized by Ministry of Development of Turkey (host), in cooperation with the UN Development Group for Europe and Central Asia and the Regional Coordination Mechanism, led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Direction for Protection of Cultural Property approved the request - an initiative for establishment of protection of hotel Durmitor in Zabljak, which was submitted by NGO Expeditio in April this year.
Balkan Express is a platform that connects people interested in collaboration in and with the Balkans involved in contemporary art and complementary socially engaged practices. Third Balkan Express meeting in this series of encounters related to the issue of sustainability is taking place close to Kotor, in Dobrota, Montenegro September (10-15, 2013). A one-day conference and round table entitled „Choosing a Sustainable Future - Learning from Experiences - EcoVillage at Ithaca“ was held at the Government House in Cetinje on July 16, 2013. The event was organized by the Foundation Petrović Njegoš in cooperation with the US Embassy in Montenegro. The USA expert, Ms. Liz Walker, held a presentation on Ithaca, an example of successful eco-village in the state of New York. The presentation was followed by a round table and discussion on how the principles of eco-villages or sustainable settlements can be applied in Montenegro. A representative of Expeditio took part at the round table.
On Monday, June 24 at 12:00, at the Drago Palace in Old Town Kotor (Conservation and Archeology Center) members of Montenegrin Network of Anna Lindh Foundation held a meeting. National coordinator of the Montenegrin Network Boris Abramovic discussed with the present members about possibilities in the framework of Foundation’s programs and cooperation of the Montenegrin Network. In addition, he presented to the potential new members the program of the Foundation and the opportunities arising from the membership. Possibilities were also presented for participation of Montenegrin organizations in initiatives and projects with the Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Turkey) through an annual call for proposals, participation in seminars and conferences and other opportunities for networking and cooperation available within this program.
Summary of national post-2015 consultations in Montenegro:
More than 8.000 people in Montenegro or 1.3% of total population have actively participated in national post-2015 consultations on development priorities after 2015. Expeditio is one of the organizations supporting this process. A final report, published in April 2013, can be downloaded here.

(Radio Dux) - Izazov očuvanja i valorizacije tradicionalne ruralne arhitekture vrlo je sličan u svim zemljama regiona, a objekti upravo te arhitekture, pod najvećim su rizikom upravo sada u vremenu globalizacije – čulo se danas na međunarodnoj konferenciju pod nazivom „Ruralno nasljeđe Jugoistočne Evrope", koja je održana u Tivtu u sklopu 11.zasijedanja Mreže za nasljeđe Jugoistočne Evrope – "SEE Heritage Network". Tridesetak učesnika - stručnjaka za prostorno planiranje,arhitekata, konzervatora i aktivista NVO sektora iz Crne Gore, Srbije, Hrvatske, Kosova i Albanije okupilo se juče u adekvatnom ambijentu – starom bokeljskom selu Gornja Lastva na obroncima Vrmca iznad Tivta, gdje su raspravljali o načinima zaštite, obnove i adekvatne valorizacije tradicionalne ruralne ahtitekture u tim državama. We are very pleased to announce that SEE Heritage Network will organize a one-day international Conference “Rural Heritage of South East Europe.” The conference is organized within the XI Meeting of SEE Heritage Network, and it will take place on Saturday April 27, 2013 in the village of Gornja Lastva, Montenegro.
Non-governmental organization EXPEDITIO submitted to the Directorate for Protection of Cultural Property of Montenegro an Initiative to protect Hotel Durmitor at Žabljak as an immovable cultural property.
A broadcast about the villages of Valista and Zalazi was shown on 8 April 2013 on TV Vijesti within the news and programme “Bez granica” presented by Sead Sadikovic. The author of broadcast is a journalist Nebojsa Mandic. A short broadcast shown during the news can be viewed at a youtube page of TV Vijesti.

On 29 March 2013, on the occasion of International Day of Happiness, celebrated on 20 March, MAPSS (Montenegrin Association of Political Science Students) organized a panel discussion entitled ” Success through Motivation”. The panel speakers included: Srđan Vukčević – business coach in Blue Coach company and a teaching fellow at the Faculty of Economy in Podgorica; Milan Radović – one of the most successful alpinists in Montenegro and one of the speakers at the first TEDx event in Podgorica; Biljana Gligorić – programme manager at EXPEDITIO Kotor. The panel discussion was moderated by Nevena Šarac, MAPSS member.

On Monday, 29 January 2013, Expeditio representative, Biljana Gligoric, took part in the programme “Otvoreno” at RTCG. The programme was dedicated to the topic of energy efficiency.

NGO Coalition - By cooperation to the Goal, advocates to improve the framework for the development and operation of the NGO sector in Montenegro, improve relations with the Government of Montenegro, local governments, the Parliament of Montenegro and commercial entities, as well as improving the program and financial transparency of NGOs. EXPEDITIO established contact with CIAV - International Committee of Vernacular Architecture with the aim of exhchanging experiences and initiating cooperation related to the project of vernacular heritage valorization in Montenegro.
CIAV is a Scientific Committe of ICOMOS - International Council on Monuments and Sites, one of the most important international organizations dedicated to cultural heritage protection.
An energy audit of the Primary School “Branko Božović” in Podgorici is being conducted. Expeditio’s program director, Biljana Gligorić, is a member of the team responsible for the audit. The audit is performed as part of the MEEP - Montenegrin Energy Efficiency Project.
On Friday, 14 December 2012, a meeting was held of the Steering Committee of NGO Coalition “Through Cooperation to the Aim”. At this meeting, Expeditio became a member of the Steering Committee.
On 13 December 2012, within the project Public Dialogue on Sustainable Use of Energy in Southeast Europe, Expeditio representative, Biljana Gligoric, held a lecture entitled “What it means to be a “green” company and how to become one / placing emphasis on energy efficiency”.
On 11 December 2012, a meeting of the Local Committee of NGO Coalition “Through Cooperation to the Aim” was held in Kotor. The aims of the Coalition are to:
Improve the framework for the development and operation of NGO sector in Montenegro.
Improve relations with the Government of Montenegro, local governments, the Parliament of Montenegro and business sector.
Increase the visibility of work and financial visibility of NGO sector.

EXPEDITIO representative, Biljana Gligorić, took part at the 4th session of the Network for Corporate Social Responsibility, which was held on Friday, 30 November 2012.
A representative of Expeditio took part in the seminar “City to City Dialogues: Urban Planning and Land Management”, which was held in Budva on 5-7 November 2012. Among others, the seminar discussed the following topics: the pressures of urbanization in conditions of financial constraints (story of five towns), how urban development creates land value and practical tools for balancing public and private interests and benefits. The seminar was attended by representatives from Montenegro and the neighbouring countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. The seminar lectures were expert collaborators and representatives of the organizer, as well as the speakers from the USA.
At the invitation of the non-governmental organization ANIMA from Kotor, a representative of EXPEDITIO took part at the final conference of the project “Promotion of the European charter for equality of women and men in local life”. The conference was held in Mostar, on November 2, 2012. A chapter of this charter is dedicated to the topic of Planning and Sustainable Development treated from gender perspective.
Expeditio has sent an appeal to non-governmental organizations in Montenegro to support an initiative launched by the civil society stakeholders from the territory of Kotor. In this initiative, addressed to the Local government of Kotor, the civil society stakeholders request that the Local government make the Municipal Hall (in Bizanti Palace) available to them again for organizing round tables, workshops, lectures, presentations and other activities in public interest, or, if this option is not possible, to provide another adequate space that they can use free of charge for the said activities.
