Inter-Municipal Cooperation in Montenegro

This is the first project that deals with inter-municipal cooperation in the territory of the Boka Kotorska - among the municipalities of Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi. This is the first project of this type in Montenegro. Funding for the project was approved by the Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade, through their office in Podgorica, the general topic of the project will be cultural tourism of the Boka Bay. The main objective of the project is development and testing of various forms of cooperation between municipalities, NGOs and private companies in the region of Boka Kotorska.

Cultural tourism – cooperation between the municipalities of TIVAT, HERCEG NOVI and KOTOR

EXPEDITIO has begun implementing the project entitled INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION IN MONTENEGRO, promoting inter-municipal initiatives in the sub-region of Kotor Bay. The project is being funded by the Dutch Embassy in Belgrade, through their office in Podgorica. The project is dealing with the general topic of cultural tourism in the region of Boka Kotorska.

MEETINGS WITH MAYORS OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF HERCEG NOVI, TIVAT AND KOTOR

In January 2007 EXPEDITIO initiated a project “INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION IN MONTENEGRO; promoting inter-municipal initiatives between the Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat in the sub-region of Kotor Bay”. The project is funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade and it is conducted in cooperation between EXPEDITIO, SNV WORLD – Netherlands Development Organization and the Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat.

MEETING: INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION BETWEEN KOTOR, TIVAT AND HERCEG NOVI

Within the project “INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION IN MONTENEGRO; promoting inter-municipal initiatives between the Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat in the sub-region of Kotor Bay” on 26th June 2007 a meeting was held that gathered representatives of municipal departments, cultural institutions and tourist organizations from the municipalities of Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi.

The project is conducted by the NGO EXPEDITIO from Kotor in cooperation with SNV WORLD – Netherlands Development Agency and Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat. It is funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade.

On 10 October 2007, another meeting within the project “INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION IN MONTENEGRO; promoting inter-municipal initiatives between the Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat in the sub-region of Kotor Bay” was held at EXPEDITIO office in Kotor. The meeting gathered representatives of the three municipalities in Boka Kotorska who are members of the working group and partners from SNV WORLD.

The project is conducted by the NGO EXPEDITIO from Kotor in cooperation with SNV WORLD – Netherlands Development Agency and Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat. It is funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade.

PRESENTATION OF THE SITE: CALENDAR OF CULTURAL EVENTS IN BOKA KOTORSKA

On 21 November 2007, in cooperation with the Town library and reading room Kotor, EXPEDITIO organized presentation of the website www.kulturaboka.info. The idea of the site is to present cultural events in three municipalities of Boka Kotorska. The site has been done within the project “INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION IN MONTENEGRO; promoting inter-municipal initiatives between the Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat in the sub-region of Kotor Bay”. The project is conducted by EXPEDITIO, in cooperation with SNV WORLD – Netherlands Development Agency and Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat. It is funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade.

Lecture: Place Brending of Boka Kotorska

On 18 December 2007, EXPEDITIO will organize a lecture on “Place Brending of Boka Kotorska”. The lecture will be held at the Assembly Hall of the Municipality of Kotor at 6 p.m. The lecture is part of the project “INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION IN MONTENEGRO; promoting inter-municipal initiatives between the Municipalities of Kotor, Herceg Novi and Tivat in the sub-region of Kotor Bay”.

Map of the cultural and natural heritage of Boka Kotorska

EXPEDITIO has published a Map of the Cultural and Natural Heritage of Boka Kotorska. The map shows the whole area of the bay of Boka Kotorska and lists the most important cultural and natural monuments throughout the territories of the three municipalities in Boka Kotorska – Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi. The map was created as one of the three pilot-projects within the project “INTER-MUNICIPAL COOPERATION IN MONTENEGRO: Promoting inter-municipal initiatives in the sub-region of Kotor Bay”. The project was conducted by EXPEDITIO in cooperation with SNV Montenegro – Netherlands Development Agency and the municipalities of Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi. It was financed by the Royal Embassy of the Netherlands in Belgrade.
