Development of the SEE Heritage Network

see heritageThe overall objective is to strengthen the capacity of the SEE Heritage Network, through legal and organizational defining, enhancing its visibility and influence and creating foundations for sustainability, and creation of sustainable network, which would be more stable and more active in the fields of its activities in the area of South East Europe and beyond. Donor of this project is Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB), the project lasts 12 months.

see-logoThe UK based foundation, Headley Trust, will support the activities of the SEE Heritage network Secretariat in the period of 2 years. The HT Board agreed to give institutional support to the Secretariat with an aim to enable efficient work of the SEE Heritage network and to contribute to more successful work & fulfillment of the missions of its members, contributing to protection and promotion of the cultural heritage in the region.

The grant will be used for the work of the Secretariat office, maintaining communication with the members, technical maintenance of the web site, organizing of two network meetings (in 2011 and 2012) as well as for PR activities (SEE Heritage calendar, leaflet and report).

A general aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of the SEE Heritage Network through defining the Network in legal and organizational terms, enhancing its visibility and influence and creating foundations for its sustainability, and turn it into a sustainable network - more stabile and more active in its field of interest in the South East European region and even wider.

EXPEDITIO is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to encourage sustainable spatial development in Montenegro and SEE region through activity in the fields of sustainable architecture, cultural heritage, urban planning and through projects that encourage overall development of the civil society. Expeditio was established in 1997.
