Donor of the project "Education to Values of Space" is the Open Society Institute, Representative Office Montenegro. The aim of the project is to educate youth / children about the values of space, its advantages and capabilities for community development. This is an important issue since the public areas in Montenegro generally neglected and often dangerous for users while training on the values of space in Montenegro is insufficient. The project was done in partnership with: elementary school "Savo Ilić" (Kotor), the Office for the Prevention of Drug Addiction (Kotor), Forum MNE (Kotor) and the Institute of Education of Montenegro (Podgorica).
As the last activity of the project “Educating Children about the Values of Space”, we have prepared a “Proposal of activities related to educating children about the values of space and arranging spaces intended for children”. The proposal can be viewed here

The project "Educating Children about the Values of Space" has come into its final phase, which includes the arrangement of part of the primary school "Savo Ilic“ in Dobrota schoolyard intended for first grade pupils. Over past few months several workshops have been conducted with pupils in the primary school "National Hero Savo Ilić" in Kotor. The workshops focused on the theme: Educating children about the values of space through the process of schoolyard arrangement. After that, in agreement with the principal, we started with the preparations for the arrangement of a small yard used by first grade pupils. On March 19, 2010, a meeting was held with the teachers (twelve of them) of "Savo Ilić" school, during which a preliminary solution for the small yard was presented to them and they had a chance to give their comments and suggestions.

Every Saturday, we conduct workshops with schoolchildren in primary school "National Hero Savo Ilic", focusing on a topic: Educating children about the values of space through a process of the schoolyard arrangement. During the last two workshops we discussed various ideas proposed by the schoolchilden. We prepared a presentation for them with photographs of schoolyards and photo-montages of possible future appearance of their schoolyard.
Within the project "Educating Children about the Values of Space", our organization, in collaboration with the Education Office of Montenegro, has set up on the internet the first in a series of 12 educational programmes about the values of space. The title of the first issue is the Complexity of Space. During the next months, you will be able to see all 12 issues set up on the internet.
EXPEDITIO is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to encourage sustainable spatial development in Montenegro and SEE region through activity in the fields of sustainable architecture, cultural heritage, urban planning and through projects that encourage overall development of the civil society. Expeditio was established in 1997.
