In Dubrovnik, on 17 June 2013, the first meeting of a working group for participatory process was organized within the project “Heritage-Driver of Development“. The meeting, held at the Physical Planning Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, was attended by representatives of project partners and associates, as well as independent experts.

Within the project "Heritage - Driver for Development", meeting of the working group for the legislative framework was held in the premises of the Municipality of Tivat, on June 11th. The group task was to define the concept of comparative analysis with recommendations, both individually for the legislative actors in Montenegro and Croatia, and simultaneously at the state level. The target group are the actors in the process of protection and valorization of natural and cultural heritage and landscapes, and aim to contribute to their better quality cooperation both at national level and between two countries through the regulations that are clearly defined in the action framework. Just to remind, this cross-border project, funded by the European Union Delegation, is supported under the second component of the Instrument for Pre-accession EU assistance through the following measures: joint activities in the application of new methodologies in the protection and management of natural and cultural heritage. Project wants to contribute to the establishment of cooperation between institutions for the protection of natural and cultural heritage in Croatia and Montenegro, through joint programs, training, transfer of knowledge and activities to raise awareness.

Workshop on Assessment of the Landscape will be held in the period Jun 26-29, 2013 in Gornja Lastva, Tivat. The workshop is organized within the project: "Heritage - Driver of the Development ", which aims to contribute to the establishment of cooperation between the institutions responsible for the protection of natural and cultural heritage in Croatia and Montenegro, through the implementation of joint programs, training, transfer of knowledge and activities to raise the level of consciousness.

A Grant Awarding Ceremony was held at Hotel Maestral in Budva on 26 April 2013 in order to officially promote the grants awarded to project proposals submitted under the 2^nd Call within the IPA Cross-Border Programme Croatia-Montenegro 2007-2013.

Prefect of Dubrovnik–Neretva County, Mr. Nikola Dobroslavić, director of Dubrovnik Neretva County Regional Development Agency DUNEA, Ms. Melanija Milić and director of Physical Planning Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Ms. Marina Oreb, presented at a press conference the project “Heritage – Driver of Development”, funded to the amount of about 4.2 million kunas through the IPA programme of the European Union.
