pam-zgradaA representative of Expeditio took part in the round table “Smarter than ownership and profit-making?” held on February 2 in the Cultural center Rex in Belgrade. The round table was dedicated to issues of individual and collective ownership, as well as topics related to ownership issues in a collective building/housing project. Presentations and discussions alternated during the afternoon, and included comparing apartment costs with monthly earnings and average credit payments, presentation of examples of collective housing projects from abroad, as well as explanations of the legal background for ownership issues in a project of this kind.

As a reminder, “Smarter building” is a call to people who would like to discover the ways to construct affordable city housing for those who do not own a dwelling and could not buy one under the current market conditions. The organizer of this project, the initiative Ko gradi grad (Who Builds the City), brings together a group of people who wish to practically learn how to obtain an apartment through acceptable investments and minimal real price – people who are interested in and ready for planning, investing and building together – in a smarter way – by planning collectively, investing responsibly (their time, knowledge, work ability and/or financial resources) and by building intelligently.
