The second focus group within the project "Cultural Needs of Youth in Boka Kotorska" was held on Friday, 11 December 2009, in EXPEDITIO office. The topic of the focus froup was "Active participation of youth in cultural events in Boka Kotorska ". The participants in the focus group were professionals dealing with culture on the territory of Boka Kotorska: Lidija Begović (school psychologist, High School Kotor), Tihana Ćulafić (Cultural Centre Kotor), Branka Kosić (NGO Nada, Herceg Novi) and Branka Božović Grubor (Secretary for culture and NGO sector, the Municipality of Herceg Novi). The focus group concentrated on the discussion about the level of youth participation in cultural events, opportunities and mechanisms for involving young people, existing deficiencies and resources within the discussed topic, etc.
More detailed information about this and the next focus groups will be given in the final report of the project, which will be prepared and made available to public in January 2010. The next focus groups will be held during December 2009 in the office of EXPEDITIO. Various cultural stakeholders from the municipalities of Tivat, Herceg Novi and Kotor will be invited to take part in the focus groups.
