Within the project “Managing Space – Promoting European Standards” we have translated and published key European documents (strategies, charters, conventions, recommendations, declarations) concerning spatial planning, architecture, sustainable architecture and cultural heritage that have not been published in our country so far, and which represent important reference documents for both professionals in the mentioned fields and the broadest public. „The European Urban Charter“ treats the development and concept of a town in Europe, the elements of urban life (local democracy, urban policies, cooperation of towns, urban rights), as well as the principles which should be foundation of all individual aspects of urban life, such as: transport and mobility, urban environment and nature, shaping visual appearance of towns, urban architectural heritage, housing, security in towns and prevention of criminal, disabled people, sport and recreation, culture, multicultural integration, urban management and urban planning, development of economy in towns.
„Reclaiming City Streets for People“ is a publication which sets out case studies of eight European towns (Kajaani, Wolverhampton, London, Nuremberg, Strasbourg, Ghent, Cambridge, Oxford) which have applied a new concept of “traffic evaporation” in order to address, in an adequate and efficient way, the problem of increasing traffic flow and traffic congestion and contribute to enhancing the quality of urban environment.
In the field of sustainable architecture we have published „Green Paper on Energy Efficiency“ which treats the measures for improving energy efficiency, specific energy policy measures, as well as the actions that should be undertaken at Community, national, regional and local levels in order to establish and promote best practice through national action plans, in various areas: buildings, domestic appliances, limiting the fuel consumption of vehicles, industry, transport, labelling of products on energy efficiency, informing and protecting consumers, tyres, aviation, regulation of supply network activities, electricity generation, optimizing traffic management, developing a market for clean vehicles and products, research and technological development.
The publication „European Conventions and Recommendations in the Field of Cultural Heritage” contains seven key documents of European Union concerning cultural heritage:

- Documents from the IVth European Conference of Ministers responsible for the cultural heritage, Helsinki 1996:

„ESDP European Spatial Development Perspective - Towards Balanced and Sustainable Development of the Territory of the European Union” represent a result of the agreement of the Member States of the European Union and the members of the European Commission on common objectives and concepts for the future development of the territory of the European Union. The ESDP is a suitable policy framework for the sectoral policies of the Community and the Member States that have spatial impacts, as well as for regional and local authorities, aimed at achieving a balanced and sustainable development of the European territory. It is also a suitable reference document for encouraging co-operation, while at the same time respecting the principle of subsidiarity. The publication sets out the fundamental goals of sustainable development policies, which are: achieving economic and social cohesion, conservation and management of natural resources and the cultural heritage, more balanced competitiveness of the European territory, as well as specific measures for their realization.
EXPEDITIO is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to encourage sustainable spatial development in Montenegro and SEE region through activity in the fields of sustainable architecture, cultural heritage, urban planning and through projects that encourage overall development of the civil society. Expeditio was established in 1997.
