This “travelling course” will be conducted within two excursions, both starting from Podgorica:
1st EXCURSION --- 19 August 2006 --- includes visits to the towns and localities in the north of Montenegro --- Kolašin, Mojkovac, monastery of Dobrilovina, eco-village in Bjelasica mountain
2nd EXCURSION --- 9 September 2006 ---- includes localities in the south part of Montenegro ---Skadar Lake, Sveti Stefan, Budva, Tivat, Kotor.
The basic aim of the programme is to educate the media representatives so that they can observe the changes that are going on in space which will be of great importance for the future sustainable development of Montenegro. In connection with this, we want to point out that the most important planning and strategic document of Montenegro i.e. the Spatial Plan of Montenegro is being drawn up. This document is to provide the basic assumptions for a long-term formulation of spatial policies, as well as the guidelines for capital investments at state level, the creation and implementation of which should be covered by the media in all its stages.
“THROUGH SPACE ABOUT SPACE” will include, at the same time, encounters, shorter discussions and talks with the representatives of municipal departments responsible for spatial issues and other people engaged in this field, as well as representatives of local non-governmental organizations. At least three representatives of EXPEDITIO will be present at both excursions as organizers and mediators.
EXPEDITIO will provide:
- transport by a mini-bus i.e. cover all travel expenses
- food and refreshment during the excursions
- lunch at the end of each excursion
- reference material and prepared summary for discussions during the excursions
- 4 books about the European standards on space translated and published by EXPEDITIO www.prostor.cg.yu
If you are interested in participating in the training programme, could you please let us know by 10 August 2006, stating the names of the participants and indicating whether you are interested in the excursion to the north or south of Montenegro (or both). You can send your applications to the contacts given below. Due to limited funding, participation of only 2 persons per a media house is possible.
All other activities that your media house might find useful within the programme - radio or TV programmes about the excursions, newspaper reports, etc. are possible and depend on your willingness and organization.
