Within the scientific - research project "Valorization of Montenegrin pasture settlements through the sustainable development of agriculture and tourism - KATUN", field visit and mapping of the pasture settlements in mountains Kuce is in progress.

KATUN (pasture sattlement) project is launched aiming that sustainable development of agriculture and agro-tourism in Montenegro pasture settlements is based on knowledge, while preserving the cultural heritage of rural areas.

 

Project, funded by the Ministry of Science of Montenegro under the grant project of the World Bank, is implement by Biotechnical Faculty, Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in Kotor and the Historical Institute of Montenegro together with two companies (HM "Durmitor" Zabljak and "Old House" Podgorica) and with supported of four partner institutions from the EU (Slovenia, Sweden and two from Italy).

 

Historical Institute of Montenegro gathered a team whose member, as consultant in the field of cultural heritage, is EXPEDITIO representative Aleksandra Kapetanovic. So far the team has visited a number of pasture settlements in the area of Lakes Bukumirsko and Rikavacko, Sirokar, Black Mountain, Kostice, ...
