Interview: Sanja Mitrovic Ljeskovic, General Director of the Division for land management in the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro

One of the collaborators on the project "Heritage-Driver for Development", which is implemented under the IPA cross-border cooperation between Montenegro and Croatia, funded by the EU Delegation; is the Montenegrin Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism or Region Management Division. Leading partners from the Montenegrin side are Municipality of Tivat, while in Croatia, it is the Institute for Spatial Planning of Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Within the project, which aims to contribute to the protection and valorization of cultural and natural heritage through the introduction of new methodologies, representatives of partners and associates have recently stayed at the five-day study tour through Provence, in southern France; to get familiar with examples of good practice in this field , in which France excels in the European framework. Provence has been selected as the area of ​​the natural, cultural and culturally very close to areas of the Bay of Kotor and the wider Dubrovnik area, which are pilot areas of the project "Heritage". Ultimately, it is expected that the effects of the project in general, including knowledge and experience gained in France, will be visible in terms of managing the space between the two countries as a whole.
