Within the cross-border project "Heritage-Driver fro Development", which is implemented through the IPA CBC Croatia-Montenegro, in Dubrocvniku will, from November 17-30th, 2013, be held a workshop on the topic · "GIS analysis of landscape / scenery." The workshop is organized for · 16 representatives of project partners and associates, and the lectures will take place at the University of Dubrovnik, at the amphitheater on the first floor.
The aim of the workshop is to present the analysis of different models of landscape / scenery through the selected software ( different applications Geographic Information System - GIS ) . The workshop will be led by consultants who have experience and references in this area .
Expected results of the workshop are learning and training representatives of various institutions from Dubrovnik and the Bay of Kotor , and the application of new technologies for analyzing landscapes which should contribute to successful decision-making process in the border regions .
Invited speakers will speak from their own experience of geographic information systems in the field of geography related to planning , surveying and news that GIS technology brings , in the field of landscape architecture and urban architecture - related to planning .
The organizer of the workshop is a leading partner in the project from the Croatian side , the Department of Physical Planning Dubrovnik- Neretva County .
