On July 1, 2013, a workshop was held in Herceg Novi marking the beginning of preparations for the painting of murals depicting the topic “The Future I Want”. The workshop was organized following a painting competition for primary and secondary school students focusing on the same topic. At the competition, the works of 19 students were selected as the most successful and these students were invited to attend mural painting workshops during the summer and then paint murals on some less attractive walls in the Bay of Boka Kotorska.
The workshop was attended by some of the students whose works were selected at the competition:

2. Goran Miladinović, Primary School “Drago Milović“ Tivat

At the beginning of the workshop, Tatjana Rajic, Expeditio representative, held a short presentation of the concept of sustainable development, which is important for the understanding of the document The Future We Want. This document served as the inspiration for the action and painting competition bearing the same name. After that, the artist Izabela Matos presented her activities of mural painting so far and various examples of application of this technique around the world. At the end of the workshop, the selected students’ works were analyzed and further steps related to mural painting agreed. First murals will be painted in Tivat at the end of June 2013.
The workshop was held in the Matica crnogorska premisses.
