Consultation Meeting between Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia and CSO Representatives

A representative of Expeditio participated in a consultation meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and representatives of CS organizations active in the field of education, science and research. The meeting was organized by the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Republic of Serbia, and it took place in Belgrade, Palace Serbia, on Friday July 19, 2013.

A major portion of the meeting was devoted to the presentation of recent activities of the Ministry of Education, followed by questions of the CSO representatives. Although the initiative for organizing this meeting is certainly a positive one and represents a step forward in improving cooperation of the state administration and the non-government sector in the field of education, we hope that one of the main goals of this meeting – a discussion of possibilities for involving the CSO sector in the activities of the Ministry – will be fulfilled in the future process of communication between public authorities and NGO representatives.

The meeting was concluded with a confirmation that some of the discussed material would be available on the websites of the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society and the Ministry of Education, and the announcement that similar meetings were planned for the future.
