News regarding the Initiative of civil society stakeholders from the territory of Kotor
Dear colleagues, we have some news regarding the Initiative of civil society stakeholders from the territory of Kotor that was submitted to the local decision-makers in the middle of November 2012. In this initiative, the civil society stakeholders request that the Local government make the Municipal Hall (in Bizanti Palace) available to them again for organizing round tables, workshops, lectures, presentations and other activities in public interest, or, if this option is not possible, to provide another adequate space that they can use free of charge for the said activities. The initiative, signed by 34 representatives of the non-governmental organizations, associations and individuals was submitted to responsible authorities in the Municipality of Kotor: the mayor, the head of the Department for Culture, Sport and Social Services, the adviser for youth policy and cooperation with NGOs, the head of the Department for Natural and Cultural Heritage Protection, the manager of the Municipality of Kotor and the president of the Kotor Municipality Assembly.
On 5 December 2012, EXPEDITIO was contacted by the Kotor Municipality Assembly with information that a meeting would be convened at the beginning of 2013, for the stated representatives of the local government and civil society, in order to discuss the initiative.
