The kick-off meeting of the project SCHOOL4CITY will be held at the Bureau for Education Services of Montenegro premises, Vaka Djurovic bb, Podgorica, on Wednesday, 9 March 2016, beginning at 10 a.m. The project SCHOOL4CITY is realized in partnership between NGO Expeditio – Centre for Sustainable Spatial Development, the Bureau for Education Services of Montenegro and JAS - Jugend Architektur Stadt e.V. (YOUTH ARCHITECTURE CITY) from Essen, Germany.
The aim of the project is to empower children and youth so that in the future they can take a more active role in creating their cities and places while applying the sustainable development principles.
The project, which is going to last for three years, includes the activities aimed to improve the understanding and application of sustainable cities concept among the teachers and children/students in kindergartens, primary and high-schools in Montenegro. The project SCHOOL4CITY will considerably contribute to practical integration and implementation of the topic of Sustainable Cities and Neighborhoods into the regular primary and high-schools curricula in Montenegro, as well as to integration of the Education for Sustainable Development programme in preschool education.

The project “SCHOOL4CITY Bringing education about sustainable cities in Montenegrin schools” is funded y the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt - DBU (German Federal Environmental Foundation).
