Representative of Expeditio, Tatjana Rajić, took part in the regional symposium “Public spaces in cities - The culture of their use”, which was held aboard Theatre Boat of the Student Cultural Centre in Novi Sad, on 3 September 2016.
The symposium “Public spaces in cities - The culture of their use”, held as a part of the Festival of Street Musicians, was organized by the NGO Suburbium from Petrovaradin. Active since 2002 with different multidisciplinary activities Suburbium aims to draw attention to Podgrađe and its 18th-century heritage which has been left to devastation, promoting it at regional / European heritage events.
The topics launched during the symposium highlighted both good and bad practices in public urban spaces, the spaces that should belong to all the citizens. The aim was to launch a public debate about public spaces, the ownership of them, (in)active citizens, artistic interventions and other activities in spaces which represent architectural heritage, about public social dimension in the local community, etc.
Expeditio representative spoke about the topic “Public spaces - Spaces of citizens”.
