The CSEinHeritage project kick-off meeting and congress in Istanbul, February 2011

The European Commission – DG Enlargement organized in Istanbul, on 10 February 2011, a kick-off meeting for the projects that receive support from the European Union (EU) under the three Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) call for proposals: Support to Partnership Actions between Cultural Organisations, Support to Partnership Actions to Minorities/Vulnerable Groups Organisations i Socio-Economic Partnership Programme (SEP).

The meeting in Istanbul gathered about 150 organizations representing 32 projects.  At this event the project leaders and their partners were informed on the procedures and rules the European Commission will apply.

Withing this programme EXPEDITIO is a partner in the project “ Civil Society Engagement in community building through the understanding, development, management and preservation of the built cultural heritage of the Western Balkans - CSEinHeritage ”. The project's lead partner is the non-governmental organization Transilvania Trust from Romania, while other partners are NGOs from various European and Western Balkan countries. In conjunction with the DG-Enlargement kick-off meeting, the European Movement International (EMI) organized a congress “CSOs challenge public authorities - Moving from political commitment to active dialogue”.

This project is funded by the European Union (EU) under the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) call for proposals 129799 Support to Partnership Actions between Cultural Organisations. This Call for Proposals forms part of the “Partnership Actions” of the IPA 2009 programme for the Civil Society Facility.
