Herceg Novi-grad po mjeri djeteta (Herceg Novi-the city made for children)

A manifestation of the "Herceg Novi-grad po mjeri djeteta" this year is conducted through the project StroNGO-contribution to the development of a stronger civil society in Boka Bay. Nongovernmental Association of Urban Nova will, for the second time in a row, organize this event whose program will be implemented in the period 07. 10.-09.10.2016. in Herceg Novi. Please read below for more information.

This year, the program starts on Friday, 07.10.2016. When with volunteers from volunteer Club JUSMŠ "Ivan Goran Kovacic"-"Point of support" we are going to to set up little houses for the library in the open air at three locations, namely: in 12h on the playground in Serb Street, at 12:30h at the basketball playground Karača and at 1:30 pm in the Park Boka. The role of volunteers in the organisation of the event itself is of great importance. They have informed their school peers, have collected books which will select and keep records collected headings. Also, some of them will be supporting other programs in the event organisation.

On Saturday, 08.10.2016. with the support of the KK Galeb we will organise 3 x 3 streetball tournament at the basketball court Karača for all interested children. Children can register for participation before the tournament.

On Sunday, 09.10.2016. there will be stage performances by children from the Aleksandra Dejanovic Ballet School, creative centre "Avenir" and Majorette Club Lily. From 12 to 1 p.m., at the basketball court Karača, all present will have the opportunity to see the creativity and talent, but also the valuable work of children. Upon completion of the children's show, we are going to move in the Dom omladine in the old city and the with kids we will host the art session themed "the city by the extent of the child".

The program of the event is free of charge. In case of rain, the change of the place and time of the activity will be advertised through local media and the Facebook page of our organization and supporting organizations.

A manifestation of the " Herceg Novi-grad po mjeri djeteta " this year will be funded through the project- StroNGO -a stronger contribution to the development of civil society in Boka Bay, through the program of the European Union IPA 2014Civil Society Facility Montenegro, where is NGO Urban Nova from Herceg Novi partner organizations in the implementation of the project, whose lead partner is NGO Expeditio. The main objective of the project is to build the capacity and increase the participation of non-governmental organizations, in order to become a professional, efficient and responsible independent actors in the area of Boka Bay.

The municipality of Herceg Novi gave logistical support in terms of the issuance of a license to set up these houses on the three sites listed.
